About the event
Riverview Cemetery, established in the early years of Chazy's settlement, holds phenomenal history and many stories ripe for discussion and discovery. Come learn about gravestone symbolism, burial and mourning customs over time, medical and technological history touching life and death, and much more as we explore the historic section of the burying ground.
This visit will include an opportunity to enter to the Miner mausoleum and chapel on the Riverview grounds, usually kept closed; refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the tour. Please note that we will be navigating off-path through the historic section of the cemetery over uneven ground.
