Natural Dyes from the Garden

Summer is officially here and the Alice's dye garden is in full bloom! Join us on July 16 to learn how you can use plants--grown in the garden or responsibly foraged--to dye yarn and fabric. We'll talk about how to prepare fibers for dyeing, creating a dye bath, and how to use the magic of chemistry to create different color effects. This is a hands-on workshop so prepare to get a little messy (remember, the difference between a dye and a stain is just a state of mind!); you are welcome to bring your own textiles to experiment with.
