About the event
Join us for a talk about Frankenstein, the 19th century novel that brought us one of our classic Halloween monsters, and its author, Mary Shelley, and her life at a time of political, artistic, scientific, and even climate upheaval. The concerns about technology, society, creativity, and their interconnections she and her newborn monster raised are still fascinating today. Seasonal snacks and drinks will be provided.
