Cyanotype & Anthotype Workshop

Learn about photosensitivity and the role of sunlight in printmaking, then create your own images in blue and yellow using cyanotype and anthotype techniques. Both cyanotypography, a more formally chemical process, and anthotyping, printing method using plant pigments, can create gorgeous relief images using objects from nature, or tools found elsewhere or created with craft supplies. Participants in this workshop will have an opportunity to compose and print their own images to take home.

We've got a UV lightbox if it's cloudy, but we hope to use the sun itself to produce our masterpieces! This event is free and open to the public, but we request that participants register in advance.
